Marty’s Party

Last week I talked about how I had missed the deadline for a Spoonflower challenge but ended up really liking what would have been my entry. A reminder that it is not about the contest but about practicing and staying consistent. So on that note…Introducing: Marty’s Party

coaster with logo design for a martini inspired pattern collection

With a shot of Mid-century Modern and a splash of Boho, this fun new collection features hand-drawn cocktails, polka-dots, and tossed florals in a dusty-rose color palette.

I’m not much of a drinker these days but I do love the IDEA of fancy cocktails. I wanted to do something a little less child-like and geared more towards the 20-somethings. A dear friend of mine is getting married in 2025 so I was designing this with her bachelorette party in mind. She is also a big fan of Espresso Martinis. Isn’t that sweet? I guess so ;)

And in my typical fashion…I created a digital paper set available in my Etsy shop.

I’ve also started adding the patterns to my Society 6 shop…doesn’t this make darling wall art? Perfect for hanging above one of those cute bar carts that are all the rage!

Here are some snapshots of the patterns - all are now available for licensing or in my Spoonflower shop:

WORDS:

I eventually developed really really good habits in my life to kind of like manage my emotions… - Debbie Gibson

MUSIC:

I was recently reminded of Debbie Gibson…one of the many pop princesses of the 1980s. I was a big fan for a brief time and somehow I missed this gem then…now I can’t stop listening to this and her whole catalog. Did you know that she still tours and still looks and sounds fabulous? Color me inspired! :)
