Wrap it up!

November has been interesting so far. Between home improvement projects, unexpected social engagements, a drawing class and election drama…it’s been hard to spend time on my blog. But I really do enjoy my blog, much more than social media these days, so here I am!

I wanted to share that I have new wrapping paper available here on my website and in my Etsy shop. I’m going to keep adding to these so check back often and do let me know if you are interested in any one of my digital paper sets as wrapping paper. I’m using Printful.com to print and ship these which sadly makes the price higher than I would like.

Today, I’m featuring my Gigi’s Chickens Giftwrap Set…

The first design showcases a bunch of cute hand-drawn chickens in a cheerful coral, aqua blue and mustard brown color palette.

The second sheet boasts a select few of the chickens and a bold rooster on a light teal-blue background.

Finally, a sweet and simple orange monochromatic pattern made up of whimsical polka-dot - which coordinates perfectly with the other two designs.

In other news…did I mentioned I watched the original Karate Kid movie a few weeks ago? It got me thinking that I’ve never really practiced…like REALLY practiced the fundamentals of drawing. I think, besides being a little lazy and easily bored, I had this fear that learning to draw realistically would ruin my quirky style.

I’ve decided that that is just a poor excuse and I’m going to dedicate myself to practicing drawing realistically. I’m taking a skillshare class that so far I love. I’ve even learned to hold the pencil differently…which is helping my wrist pain. I will talk more about this class in another blog post soon.
